Polly, a finance AI engine

Polly is less an agent than a single large engine. It is an orchestration layer, a harness that takes a question, picks a model for the job, and arms it with tools. Most of what it works from comes off the web, where nothing arrives verified. So a claim passes through several checks before the engine will repeat it: read across independent sources, held against the primary record where one exists, and weighed against what the archive already says.

For retail investors

Stockpolly helps retail investors understand companies better and make more informed decisions based on evidence. Information about what a company sells, how much it earns, who its major shareholders are, and what changed in the latest quarter is already public, but scattered across sources, making the full picture hard to see.

We bring filings, quarterly results, analyst research, ownership information, and related reporting together so they can be read in context. By reducing the time spent finding and comparing sources, we help investors focus on understanding the company and thinking through their decisions.

We also explain what individual facts mean by comparing this quarter’s numbers with the previous four quarters and connecting new stories to changes in the business. Investors decide which stocks to buy or sell and when; Stockpolly provides the evidence and context to inform those decisions.

Limitations

Most of Stockpolly’s financial data comes from company filings published on a set schedule. Because those filings describe results and financial positions for a period that has already ended, recent changes at a company may take time to appear in the numbers.

To address that lag, we also analyze the latest news and other sources, though real-time information may not yet have been fully verified or placed in context. AI can also misinterpret information, so we review analyses more than once and use highly capable models to examine contrary evidence and alternative interpretations on important questions.

We cannot eliminate every error or uncertainty through these checks, and improving the reliability of analysis requires ongoing research and refinement. Readers should examine the supporting sources and keep in mind that new information can change an interpretation or conclusion.

Our goals

The goal is that good information stops being work to get and work to read: a retail investor should find it in a minute and understand it without training. The longer goal is trust. The day Polly can be left alone with a question is the day everyone has an analyst of their own.
