Grid & Transmission

Transformers, lines and grid batteries that deliver electricity to the campus fence

Heat (est.) Spend (est.)

Large power transformers and HV switchgear carry multi-year lead times, and interconnection queues, not chips, set when a campus energizes.

New generation only helps an AI campus when substations and networks can deliver its output. Large transformers, high-voltage equipment, cables, grid controls and construction connect supply to load. Utility-scale batteries smooth peaks and support stability but do not create net energy.

Why now

US large-load commitments, 765 kV projects and renewable integration are driving factory and contractor expansion in 2026. Korean and Asian suppliers are adding capacity, while transformer delivery slots, permitting and storage sourcing rules determine project schedules.

Power transformers

Large power and generator step-up transformers connect plants and campuses to the grid. Qualified factories, voltage ratings and utility approval matter more than catalog capacity; smaller distribution units serve a different part of the network.
