Baader Helvea
Baader Helvea AG is the Zurich-based Swiss brokerage subsidiary of Germany's Baader Bank, providing research, sales and trading in Swiss, German and Austrian equities to institutional investors. It hosts the annual Baader Helvea Swiss Equities Conference in Bad Ragaz.
Company history
Helvea, a Geneva-based broker founded by Patrick Rosenberg, was the largest independent Swiss equities broker when Baader Bank agreed to buy it in November 2012; the acquisition closed in August 2013 and integration finished in 2014. The Helvea companies were later renamed Baader Helvea AG, Baader Helvea Limited and Baader Helvea Inc., and the Swiss entity is now headquartered in Zurich. Uto Baader founded the parent bank at the Munich Stock Exchange in 1983.
