LifeSci Capital is a New York-based boutique investment bank focused solely on the life sciences. It pairs equity research, whose analysts hold advanced scientific or medical degrees, with capital markets and advisory work for biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical-technology companies.
Company history
Michael Rice and Andrew McDonald, former ThinkEquity Partners colleagues who co-founded investor-relations firm LifeSci Advisors in 2010, founded LifeSci Capital as a New York broker-dealer in 2013. It launched its Alpha Series research product in June 2018. LifeSci Acquisition Corp., a SPAC whose sponsor was affiliated with the firm, merged with Vincera Pharma, later Vincerx Pharma, in December 2020. McDonald serves as chief executive and Rice as president.
