Company history
Ralph F. Lafferty founded the firm in 1946 as a brokers' broker. Henry Hackel acquired it in 1970, and the Hackel family has run it since; the firm began offering registered investment adviser services in 2006. Robert Hackel, chief operating officer for nearly three decades, became chief executive in June 2026, the year the firm marked its 80th anniversary and opened an office in Boca Raton, Florida.
