Company history
Robert Eide founded Aegis in New York in 1984; it serves private clients, institutions and corporations with brokerage, wealth management, investment banking and equity research. Regulators have sanctioned it several times: FINRA fined it $950,000 in 2015 over unregistered penny-stock sales, the SEC and FINRA imposed $1.3 million in 2018 for anti-money-laundering failures, and FINRA fined it $1.05 million in 2021 over supervision of excessive trading.
