Avocados anchor a fresh-fruit platform that combines grower sourcing, owned international farms, packing, ripening and distribution. Marketing & Distribution, International Farming and Blueberries supply avocado, mango and blueberry offerings, now joined by Calavo's fresh produce and prepared products.
Avocados are sourced, farmed, packed, ripened, marketed and distributed through the Marketing & Distribution and International Farming segments. The Blueberries segment grows blueberries, while the company also markets mangos. Calavo also adds fresh produce and prepared products to the portfolio. The platform grew from California avocado sales into multi-origin sourcing, packinghouses and ripe-avocado programs.
Sourcing spans California, Mexico and Peru for domestic and international markets. Owned orchards supply fruit to Marketing & Distribution, tying farm production to the global network. The operating model depends on harvest timing, fruit-size availability, packing, ripening and distribution execution.
