Sells shaving razors and blades under Schick and Wilkinson Sword, sun and skin-care lines spanning Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, Jack Black, and Cremo, and body care under the digitally native Billie brand. Growth comes mainly through acquired brands, with a lasting second position in shaving behind Procter & Gamble's Gillette.
Separated from Energizer Holdings' battery business in 2015 to operate as an independent personal-care company built from decades of acquired grooming and sun-care brands.
Schick and Wilkinson Sword anchor a Wet Shave franchise holding a lasting second position behind Procter & Gamble's Gillette. Sun and skin care spans mass-market Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic alongside premium grooming brands Jack Black and Cremo, plus the digitally native Billie brand.
Growth has come mostly through acquisitions rather than new product development, paired with periodic pruning — most recently an agreement to exit the Feminine Care lines and concentrate on shaving and sun and skin care. Most of the workforce is based outside the US.
Recurring restructuring charges tied to manufacturing consolidation and sun-care reformulation following a sunscreen safety recall have shaped recent results.
