Develops Perkinamine electro-optic polymers and modulator designs for high-speed data communications. Its business combines material supply and licensing, with integration aimed at third-party silicon-photonics and related foundry platforms.

Perkinamine electro-optic polymers, modulator designs, supporting materials, fabrication processes, and metrology form a technology platform for high-speed optical modulators in data communications and other photonic applications. The technology is designed to convert electrical signals to optical signals within silicon-photonics and related photonic-integrated-circuit platforms.

Materials synthesis, device and package design, wafer fabrication, and testing capabilities are based in Englewood, Colorado. Rather than build proprietary semiconductor wafer fabs, the company plans for EO-material integration at third-party semiconductor foundries.

A non-exclusive Perkinamine material-supply and licence agreement pairs material supply with royalties tied to licensed-product sales. The commercialization model depends on technical qualification, partner and foundry adoption, and licensees’ product sales.
