Manages private-market strategies across Credit, Real Assets and GP Strategic Capital. Most management fees come from permanent-capital vehicles, while economics depend on fundraising, fee generation, fund valuations and liquidity management.
Manages private-market capital through Credit, Real Assets and GP Strategic Capital. Credit traces to Owl Rock’s middle-market lending franchise; Real Assets includes real estate, insurance solutions and digital infrastructure; GP Strategic Capital provides capital to private-capital managers.
Built through the 2021 combination of Owl Rock and Dyal and expanded through acquisitions, the firm operates globally from New York. It integrates specialist strategies under a one-firm approach and reports a single accounting operating segment.
Most management fees come from permanent-capital vehicles, which generally lack ordinary asset-manager-level redemptions. Its economics and reputation depend on fundraising, fee generation, fund valuations and liquidity management, while competition for capital and investments, regulation, leverage inside products, and retention of senior talent shape the business.
