Produces iron ore, copper and steelmaking coal across Australia and the Americas, while developing potash and additional copper projects. A simplified, single-parent portfolio relies on large mining systems, commodity markets, project delivery, and sustained safety, water, heritage and community controls.
Produces iron ore, copper and steelmaking coal from large, long-lived mining systems, while building Jansen potash and expanding its copper pipeline. Operations span Australia and the Americas, with Western Australian iron ore and Chilean and South Australian copper at the center of the portfolio.
Execution depends on high-volume mining, mineral processing, rail and port infrastructure, and disciplined development of copper and potash projects. The portfolio has narrowed since the South32 demerger and petroleum separation.
Cash generation remains exposed to commodity prices and operating volumes. Tailings safety, water use, cultural-heritage agreements and relationships with regulators, communities and Traditional Owners are continuing operating dependencies; the Samarco reparations record remains active.
