Underwrites homeowners property-and-casualty policies through Homeowners Choice and TypTap, primarily in Florida, while controlling Exzeo's carrier software platform and managing the CORE and Tailrow reciprocal exchanges. Insurance premiums and service fees support a model exposed to hurricane losses, reinsurance costs and Florida insurance regulation.

Underwrites homeowners property-and-casualty coverage through Homeowners Choice and TypTap, with Florida as the primary market and additional business across the Northeast and Southeast. Insurance operations include captive reinsurance, while majority-owned Exzeo supplies quoting, underwriting, policy-administration, claims, reporting and reinsurance-placement tools to affiliated and outside carriers.

Also manages policyholder-owned CORE and Tailrow reciprocal exchanges as attorney-in-fact and operates a Florida commercial real estate portfolio. The model combines independent-agent distribution with proprietary software and data analytics for risk selection and carrier workflows. Results remain concentrated in Florida property insurance, where hurricane losses, reinsurance availability and cost, regulator-approved rates and forms, and Citizens policy assumptions shape underwriting volume and earnings.
