Provides advisory, implementation, and managed services for mission-critical enterprise technology. Formed from IBM's infrastructure-services operation, it pairs infrastructure modernization with hybrid-cloud capabilities and alliances organized around customer modernization.
Advisory, implementation, and managed services support mission-critical enterprise technology, including infrastructure modernization and hybrid-cloud workloads. The business was carved out of IBM's Global Technology Services infrastructure-services operation and became independent in 2021.
International work for enterprise customers in multiple markets extends its infrastructure-services role alongside investment in higher-value, next-generation services. Independence lets Kyndryl organize alliances and services around customer modernization beyond IBM's former captive ecosystem. A 2024 acquisition of Skytap added specialized workload capabilities to its hybrid-cloud services portfolio; the business remains shaped by its IBM separation and ongoing internal-control remediation.
