Central Garden & Pet CompanyCENT
Consumer Staples

Markets branded and private-label pet supplies and lawn-and-garden consumables through Pet and Garden segments, earning most revenue from finished products sold through major retailers and e-commerce channels. Operations are primarily U.S.-based, with garden demand concentrated in spring and summer and customer relationships concentrated among large chains.

Markets branded and private-label pet supplies across dog and cat chews and toys, aquatics and reptiles, small animals and birds, equine care, animal health, insect control, live fish and outdoor cushions. Nylabone, Kaytee, Aqueon, Farnam and Zoëcon anchor the Pet segment; its former pet-distribution operation was contributed to a partnership, sharpening the focus on owned brands.

Produces grass and packet seed, wild-bird feed, garden controls, fertilizers and live plants through Pennington, Ferry-Morse, Amdro and Sevin. Manufacturing plus national sales and logistics networks place and replenish products across mass retail, home improvement, pet specialty, farm-and-feed and e-commerce channels, primarily in the United States.

Garden demand is concentrated in spring and summer and exposed to weather. Large retailers generate more than half of sales, while pesticides require federal and state registrations.
