Rosenblatt Securities is a New York agency broker, NYSE floor broker and technology-focused investment bank. Its equity research concentrates on technology, media and telecom, including semiconductors, software, internet and communications infrastructure.
Company history
Richard Rosenblatt founded the firm in 1979 as Richard A. Rosenblatt & Co., a $2 floor broker on the NYSE handling overflow orders for other brokers. After the 1987 crash it turned to buy-side clients, offering direct electronic access to the NYSE and agency trading in Nasdaq stocks. Joe Gawronski, who joined in 2002 and started its market-structure practice, succeeded Rosenblatt as chief executive in 2022, with the founder remaining chairman.
