Company history
Edward W. Wedbush and Robert Werner founded Wedbush & Company in Los Angeles in 1955; Werner sold his stake in 1960. The firm bought Noble, Cooke & Co. in 1969, joined the NYSE in 1971, began clearing for other firms in 1972 and bought William R. Staats & Co. in 1975. It acquired Morgan, Olmstead, Kennedy & Gardner in 1988 and traded as Wedbush Morgan Securities until 2010, then moved its headquarters to Pasadena in 2025.
