Company history
The firm traces to Capital Data Bank, founded by Walter Cruttenden III in 1977, which began offering brokerage services as Cruttenden & Co. in 1984. Byron Roth joined in 1992, the firm became Cruttenden Roth in 1994, and it adopted the Roth Capital Partners name in 2000. Roth acquired Stamford-based MKM Partners in February 2023 and traded as ROTH MKM before returning to the Roth Capital Partners name.
