Roth Capital Partners, LLC
ROTH MKM was the name under which Roth Capital Partners, a Newport Beach, California investment bank serving small- and mid-cap growth companies, operated after acquiring MKM Partners in 2023. The firm has since returned to the ROTH Capital name.
Company history
Roth traces to Cruttenden & Co., which began offering brokerage services in 1984; Byron Roth joined in 1992, the firm became Cruttenden Roth in 1994 and Roth Capital Partners in 2000. In 2023 it completed its first acquisition, Stamford-based MKM Partners, and began doing business as ROTH MKM, with MKM's Sagar Sheth as CEO and Byron Roth as executive chairman. By late 2024 its research again carried the ROTH Capital name.

Research
The combined firm launched with about 45 research analysts and more than 500 stocks under coverage (2023), with MKM adding trading, derivatives, event-driven and high-yield research to Roth's small-cap franchise.
