Rothschild & Co is a family-controlled, Paris-headquartered financial advisory, wealth and asset management group. It publishes equity research through Rothschild & Co Redburn, a London-based research and execution arm covering U.S. and European stocks, renamed from Redburn Atlantic in 2025.
Company history
The group traces its records to Mayer Amschel Rothschild's Frankfurt business in 1769; his sons built banking houses in London, Paris, Vienna, Naples and Frankfurt. The French and British businesses merged into one group in 2003, and the listed parent Paris Orléans was renamed Rothschild & Co in 2015. The family holding Concordia delisted it from Euronext Paris in 2023. Rothschild & Co took a minority stake in Redburn in 2019, full ownership by 2023, and merged it with Atlantic Equities.
